  • 2 pounds flanken-cut short ribs

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, water, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the ingredients are well combined.
  • Marinate the Ribs: Place the flanken short ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
