  • 1/2 lb crab meat, picked over for shells

  • 1/2 lb scallops, chopped

  • 4 cups cubed bread (preferably day-old)

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup white wine

  • 1 cup seafood or chicken broth

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tsp dried sage

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp, crab meat, and scallops to the skillet. Cook until the seafood is just opaque, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the white wine and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes, seafood mixture, parsley, thyme, sage, black pepper, and salt. Toss to combine.
  • Gradually add the broth, mixing until the bread cubes are moistened but not soggy. Add lemon juice and stir to combine.
