Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ribeye or sirloin steak

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • For the Pasta:
  • 12 oz (340g) fettuccine

  • Salt, for pasta water

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  • Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  • Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, basting the steak with the melted butter and garlic.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest briefly before slicing thinly.
  • Cook the Pasta:
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  • Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
