Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves

  • 1 cup fresh kale leaves, stems removed

  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1 medium banana, peeled

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the spinach and kale leaves thoroughly. Peel the banana and measure out the frozen mango and pineapple chunks.
  • Blend the Smoothie: In a high-speed blender, add the spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana, and coconut water. If using, add the chia seeds and honey or agave syrup.
  • Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and the smoothie reaches a smooth, creamy consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, add more coconut water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into two glasses and enjoy immediately for the best flavour and texture.

Notes

  • For an extra creamy texture, you can add a half cup of Greek yoghurt or a scoop of protein powder.
  • If you prefer a colder smoothie, use fresh fruits and add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
  • Feel free to customize the sweetness by adjusting the amount of honey or agave syrup, or by omitting it altogether if the fruits are sweet enough.
